Introduction

The "Ontario Award" is sponsored by the Ontario DX Association. We launched this award in 1999 in celebration of our organization's 25th anniversary.

This award is available world-wide to any amateur making successful two-way contact with the 48 political subdivisions of Ontario along with VE3ODX (club station of the Ontario DX Association) and VA3RAC (Ontario club station of Radio Amateurs of Canada). This award is also available to shortwave listeners.

Contacts must have been made after April 1, 1999 and can be on any band or mode. Repeater contacts do not qualify.

Applicants for the award must submit $5.00 Canadian (or equivalent) or 5 IRC'S along with a log extract (No QSL cards are required) certified by two executive members of a recognized amateur radio club, association or society OR where no amateur radio club, association or society exists the log extract may be certified by two amateurs holding whatever the highest license grade is in the applicants country.

Submit applications for the award to: Ontario Award, Ontario DX Association 155 Main St.N., Apt. 313 Newmarket, Ontario L3Y 8C2 Canada

Those who are working towards this award are reminded that the best opportunities for obtaining this award are during the annual Ontario QSO Party held the last weekend of April each year and during the annual RAC Canada Day and RAC Winter Contests when large numbers of Ontario stations are on the air.
