Shadow Lake Camp

DIRECTIONS

On Highway 401 proceed to the Hwy 404/Don Valley Parkway exit.

North on Highway 404. Go past exits for Steeles Ave., Highway 7, Major Mackenzie Drive, Stouffville Road, Bloomington Road, Aurora Road.

Exit at Aurora Road. Go East (right).

Go past intersections of Woodbine, Warden, Kennedy, McCowan, Highway 48.

Continue east on Aurora Road through the village of Ballantrae. Pass the Ballantrae Community Centre and Public School on your left. Take the next right turn (south) onto Ninth Line (York Road #69). You will see a sign for Musselman Lake.

Before you reach the lake you will see a trailer park on your right.

Now watch very closely for the driveway on your left, into Shadow Lake.

There is a Shadow Lake Camp sign but it’s easy to miss. There are no buildings here, only gate posts, the sign and the driveway leading through a forest.

The road into the camp will take you around the small lake in this campground. Continue on past the main building that you will see on the far side of the lake.

The Crystal Place house is located past the main camp hall, past the main dining hall building and an old two-story house, and before you reach a barn. It’s a one story white house.

Park in front and come on in!
